- By Emma Lowe

WHEN you’re in for a long wait, you may as well be comfy.

So these young One Direction fans turned up in London yesterday with cosy onesies, blankets and tents as they bagged their places for the band’s movie premiere tonight.

Holding bundles of photos awaiting autographs from their idols, the teenagers, many accompanied by parents, slept out in Leicester Square.

band – Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson – arrived in the capital yester- day ahead of the screening of the movie, One Direction: This Is Us, which follows their life on the road during their rise to fame.

The film was made by Super Size Me documentary maker Morgan Spurlock.

Payne, 19, said their fans were ‘crazy’ but thanked them for their support.

‘To be honest this is why we wanted to make the film because we have some of the best fans in the world so that’s why we wanted to do it,’ he said. ‘Watching it back in the film it is mad. But it is exciting.’

Styles, 19, said the film would allow fans to learn more about the band, who won third place on the X Factor in 2010 but now have an estimated combined worth of £27million after a string of worldwide hits. He said: ‘We just want to show what we’re about and with social media and stuff there’s only so much you can get across in terms of your personality.’
