DAZZLING SPEED GIVES AMIR THE EDGE

Unbeaten welterweight world title contender KELL BROOK marks your card for the Khan-collazo showdown

- Interview: RIATH AL-SAMARRAI

SPEED

Khan is the fastest there is with his hands — and his feet are sharp. Collazo has decent speed but it’s not up there with Khan’s, and his movement isn’t the greatest. Khan’s speed will decide the fight.

RINGCRAFT

Khan is a decent technician. He can throw combinations and look good but I wouldn’t say he knows all the tricks, like when to clinch. At 33, Collazo is six years older and more seasoned. He knows when to clinch and when to attack and up the pace.

DEFENCE

When Khan gets tagged he thinks he has to fight fire with fire and that has counted against him. There are questions about his chin but his speed could get him out of trouble if he thinks clearly. Collazo is more controlled. If he takes a shot, he knows to take a step back, clear his head. He can be awkward and has the experience to survive situations.

POWER

Khan has decent power but he is stepping up a weight. He is a very good attacking fighter but that is more down to his speed. Collazo has fought a career at the weight and showed against Victor Ortiz that he can bang. If anyone was to force a stoppage I would back Collazo.

VERDICT

Collazo (left) has the knockout power but if it goes to the cards I reckon Khan will win, and possibly by a decent margin if he fights the right fight and gets in and out. I would say Khan to win on points.
