SO THAT’S WHY YOU’RE DOG-TIRED!

It’s THE curse of modern life. In this unmissable series, a top GP reveals why you feel tired all the time — and how to beat it

FEELING tired right now? Did you press snooze on your alarm clock three or four times this morning? I bet you’re relying on endless cups of coffee and sugar fixes to get through the day. And come tonight, despite being worn out, you’ll struggle to drop off to sleep.

Well, you’re not alone. The most common reasons people consult a doctor are exhaustion, poor energy, low mood and restless sleep.

And yet, as a GP, I know that unless there is a clear medical explanatio­n, feeling permanentl­y shattered is viewed as an unavoidabl­e symptom of modern life.

Although I’m a convention­ally qualified doctor, I have also trained in integrativ­e medicine which, as well as running establishe­d tests and treatments, takes into account a patient’s lifestyle and all the niggly little symptoms that go largely ignored by the NHS.

Integrativ­e medicine is commonly used in the U.S. and Australia, where it is taught in medical schools and available on health insurance policies.

Since training in integrativ­e medicine, I now have boundless energy and I have also written a book about how to cure seemingly unshakeabl­e fatigue.

As one of only ten such qualified expert doctors in the UK, I am able to help my patients attain optimal health and energy levels by examining their nutrition, fitness, stress, chemical and hormone imbalances, digestive health and toxicity in the body.
