WARNOCK’S BIDING HIS TIME OVER TRANSFERS

-

NEIL WARNOCK admits Crystal Palace will face a deadline frenzy after he put transfer plans on hold for today’s trip to Newcastle. The new Palace boss has secured Wilfried Zaha’s return to the club on a seasonlong loan from Manchester United and he is also signing Armand Traore from QPR, who will also let fellow defender Danny Simpson go to Leicester. Warnock has until Monday to complete more deals. ‘I have had 320 messages from agents and they are all brilliant players,’ said Warnock, who is keen on Tottenham’s Zeki Fryers and Gary Hooper of Norwich. ‘If we can get three or four players, I think we can hold our own.’ Warnock revealed he did not discuss transfer policy with co-chairman Steve Parish before taking the job. ‘I didn’t talk about money, it was the opportunity,’ he said.
