Lamborghini describes its Aventador as a four-wheel-drive ‘hyper sportscar’.

It can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in 2.9 seconds, powered by a 6.5-litre V12 engine with a seven-speed gearbox.

The Aventador will set you back between £242,000 and £295,000 for a new model, depending on the specification. Alternatively you can pick one up second-hand for £240,000.

It first went on sale in 2012, followed by a Roadster edition in 2013 and a ‘50 Anniversario’ special edition in 2014.

The latest model, the lighter and faster Aventador Superveloce, will be released later this year for an estimated price of £295,000.
