Tottenham will block United’s Lloris move

-

TOTTENHAM have no intention of selling Hugo Lloris this summer despite the interest of Manchester United.

Chairman Daniel Levy is prepared to rebuff all offers as he recognises the 28-year-old Frenchman is key to Tottenham’s team.

Spurs have underperformed this campaign and Mauricio Pochettino will make changes in personnel throughout his squad.

However, Lloris provides a solid foundation for his rebuild and Pochettino does not wish to lose him.

Levy has proved his stubbornness in negotiations before and should United make contact they can expect no room for manoeuvre. It is understood that no formal approach has yet been made.

United are hopeful David de Gea will commit to a new deal but cannot guarantee that will be the end of Real Madrid’s pursuit of their Spanish No 1.

Louis van Gaal does not like the idea of the club making offers for players before the season is over but United will contact clubs to post their interest. Inter Milan’s Samir Handanovic and Stoke’s Asmir Begovic are other options.

Tottenham are keen on Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan but will struggle to outbid rivals such as Pa ri s Saint-Germain.

Fiorentina are interested in Tottenham midfielder Paulinho, who is set to leave along with Emmanuel Adebayor, Roberto Soldado, Mousa Dembele, Etienne Capoue, Vlad Chiriches and Aaron Lennon. BRAZILIAN Nathan (above) has confirmed he is to sign for Chelsea. The attacking midfielder, 19, took to Instagram last night to share pictures of himself at the club’s Cobham training base and appears to be on the verge of rubberstamping his move from Atletico Paranaense. The Brazil Under-20 star will cost around £4million. Nathan said: ‘A dream is coming true!’ LAZIO are eyeing a move for Liverpool striker Fabio Borini.
