Serious? #shambles If Strauss wanted instant public acceptance & the whole country to support Eng again, he should have said, ‘I want KP back in the team’ !!! SHANE WARNE (above) I don’t trust @KP24 enough for him to play for England but I trust him enough to advise me on ODI cricket #strausslogic KUMAR SANGAKKARA I know that Strauss and him probably don’t get on, (but) I’m not going to believe it until we get over there and they pick their squad. He’s just peeled off a triple-hundred. If he keeps going and scoring hundred after hundred there’s going to be a lot of pressure to pick him.
RYAN HARRIS (above) I don’t often feel sorry for Kevin Pietersen — but having been told by the chairman-elect to go and score runs in the County Championship if he wants to get back in the England side, Kevin’s been sent on a wild goose chase. It’s another case of the ECB shooting themselves in the foot. He’s had his problems with Andrew Strauss, but differences have to be put aside when picking an England side. It doesn’t look like there is any way back for him, which is a great shame.
BOB WILLIS I have no agenda in this, I thought if @KP24 was to play again he should fight his way back in which he has, as for personality he can be high maintenance then again so was I, but you do grow up and change. I wish I had the chance to play in my mid-30s reckon I’d have been better! Like all other fans I’m intrigued to know the reasons... building for the future is lame. Only then will this be put to bed.
ANDREW FLINTOFF (above) He’s given up a contract to play in the (Indian Premier League), he’s done what’s been asked of him and now the door has been shut. He’s given up a quarter of a million pounds on the back of Colin Graves’ comments. That word trust may be a two-way thing.
