Energy Switching

Join our collective to get a better deal on your energy

-

Registration is now open for the Mail Finance Switch, our collective energy switching programme. By visiting www.mailfinanceswitch.co.uk you can join thousands of other Mail readers who have come together to get a great deal on their gas and electricity.

How does collective switching work?

By grouping together Mail readers, Mail Finance and our partner energyhelpline will be able to negotiate a unique energy tariff, that will be available solely to those who have registered. As large groups of consumers have more power and are more attractive to the suppliers we hope that the deal we will be able to broker will be very special indeed. Obviously the greater number of people we manage to register the better, so please tell your friends and family members about the programme.

How will the Mail Finance Switch work?

First we will be registering as many readers as possible, to gather as large a group together as we can. Once registration is over we will go to the energy suppliers and hold an auction. We will invite all suppliers to bid an exclusive energy deal for the group. From June 29th we will then notify the registered members of the collective the details of the winning tariff. We will also show you how the deal compares to all the other tariffs in the market to give you a picture of the savings you could make by switching to the winning tariff or another deal should you wish. If you choose to switch online we will organise the transfer and support you through the whole process. There is no charge to you for switching through the scheme.

Am I obliged to switch if I register?

Absolutely not, there is no obligation to switch to the winning tariff or any other deal by registering. It really is a no-lose situation. Should you not like the winning offer or any of the other tariffs on the market you don’t need to switch.

How much will I be able to save on the deal?

We won’t be able to tell you precisely until the auction is conducted with the suppliers. However, we want to get our readers the best possible deal and will be aiming to save them £250-300 a year on their energy costs. The last collective scheme organised by energyhelpline in September saw over 80,000 registrations and customers saving £308 a year on average. The winning deal was exclusive and cheaper than any other on the market.
