Walking tall, 6ft 7in Pointless pin-up and his lover
SHE may struggle to see eye to eye with him – literally – but she certainly hasn’t fallen short when it comes to winning the heart of TV host Richard Osman.
Petite radio DJ Emily Dean and 6ft 7in Osman, who co-presents game show Pointless, have been quietly dating for more than six months, it has been confirmed.
Even though his geeky charm had won him hordes of female fans – who once voted him the nation’s ‘weirdest crush’ – Cambridgeeducated Osman had reportedly been single since he split from his partner, with whom he had two children, several years ago.
But he has now found love with the diminutive Miss Dean after the pair, both 44, were introduced by showbiz friends. They have

already enjoyed trips to the Maldives and Italy together, as well as theatre and restaurant outings, which they have both posted happily about on Twitter – but without ever directly mentioning the other. However, fans managed to make the connection and Miss Dean’s representative has now confirmed the relationship.
And it seems Osman is just as quick-witted in private as he is on screen. Miss Dean, who hosts a show on Absolute Radio with Frank Skinner and is deputy editor of magazine InStyle, has given insight into his humorous approach, writing online: ‘Is it a bad sign that my boyfriend says whenever we choose a seat in a restaurant, “is the lighting OK for you here?”’
Osman worked behind the scenes on several shows, such as Deal or No Deal, before making his name as a presenter in 2009 when he began hosting Pointless with Alexander Armstrong.
