THE social media world went wild after Jeremy Corbyn revealed in a web chat that he buys his vests from his local market.
And now the trader who supplies the Labour leadership frontrunner with his famous white tops has revealed they sell for just £1.50.
Ali Rifat, 53, who owns B & H Quality Underwear & Socks in Nag’s Head Market, North London, said the cheap vests – which sell for £1.50 each – were his stall’s best-selling item. He said of Mr Corbyn, pictured right: ‘I see him all the time but I didn’t even know he was an MP.’
The MP for Islington North mentioned the stall when he was asked by a Mumsnet user where he gets his seemingly endless supply of vests from.
Following the web chat, Mumsnet users have been sharing their love for the MP, with one describing him as ‘attractive in a world weary old sea dog sort of way’.
As well, Twitter users have created memes depicting the MP in tight-fitting underwear, using the hashtag #SexyJezza.
