Just weeks after marriage break-up is Ben Aff leck dating his nanny?
JUST a day after their tenth wedding anniversary, Hollywood power couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner stunned the world of showbusiness when they confirmed that they are to divorce.
Now, just weeks later, the 42-yearold actor has been forced to deny claims that he has struck up a romance with his children’s nanny Christine Ouzounian, 28.
According to the American magazine Us Weekly, the pair first met earlier this year when Miss Ouzounian was hired to care for Affleck’s children Violet, nine, Seraphina, six, and Samuel, three, during a secret ten-month trial separation from Miss Garner.
The magazine claims the 43-year-old actress fired Miss Ouzounian after she discovered how well the pair were getting on. However, the nanny is said to have remained in contact with Affleck and met him again in Los Angeles as recently as July 17.
Yesterday, his representatives dismissed rumours of a romantic relationship as ‘baseless and untrue’, saying: ‘The story is complete garbage and full of lies. You shouldn’t be able to hide behind blind sources and attempt to destroy families going through a difficult time.
‘The tabloid [Us Weekly] decided to construct stories in order to sell magazines. It’s like story time in kindergarten. It’s shameful and desperate.’
Miss Ouzounian, who Us Weekly says is a Californian communications graduate, has previously been pictured with the actor while caring for his children.
Affleck and Miss Garner are said to have agreed to split after a ‘candid conversation’ in which he admitted he had not been ‘committed to the marriage in the last few years’.
His alleged heavy gambling was also said to be a factor in the split after he was spotted at casinos in Detroit during filming of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice earlier this year.
In the wake of his split from Miss Garner, he has also been hit by claims that he cheated on her on numerous occasions during their marriage.
An insider told Us Weekly the actor occasionally confessed his transgressions and begged for forgiveness, and the couple would resolve to try and make the marriage work.
They met on the set of the film Pearl Harbor in 2001 and fell in love during the filming of Daredevil in 2003. They were married in June 2005.
