ESSEX coach Paul Grayson has left the club by mutual consent, bringing to an end almost 20 years at the county as player, captain and then coach. Grayson’s assistant Chris Silverwood will take charge for the rest of the season. Former England wicketkeeper Paul Nixon is thought to be a long-term contender for the job.
