WHY MONK COULD BE ENGLAND BOSS

JONJO SHELVEY has backed Garry Monk to become England’s head coach. Monk will be on the FA shortlist next summer after a remarkable start to his managerial career with Swansea. Shelvey, 23, said: ‘He loves to have every detail right. We do a lot of meetings off the pitch and he’s always on your case. That’s what I need as a footballer. ‘He’s different with each player. I think he can one day become England manager because he’s got all the abilities. You’ve seen what we’ve done on the pitch.’
