GRAND ENTRANCE
THOUGHT festivals were all about slumming it? Not according to Addison Lee, which is offering a helicopter service to Bestival (pictured), September 10 to 13. The trip from Battersea to the Isle of Wight takes 40 minutes, shaving hours off the traditional train-and-ferry route. If you can brave the stares from revellers — and stomach the price of £730 per person — then this is how to make a rock star’s entrance.

ACCESS ALL AREAS
LAST week saw the launch of AccessAllRooms.com, a website which helps people with disabilities find accessible hotel rooms across the world. Created by James Price, whose love of travelling was tested when he was paralysed in a diving accident in 1999, the website supplies information such as room dimensions, door widths and bathroom features, via a grading system.

SLEIGH BELLS RING
THERE will be an easier way to see Norway’s Northern Lights from February 2016, with new direct flights to Evenes from London Gatwick. Tour operator Inghams is launching two three-night packages: The Polar Express Adventure (£799 pp), where you’ll be able to sledge with huskies, and The Island and Fjords Adventure (£899 pp), which includes a visit to an indigenous camp.
