WHO ELSE COULD SCARE ENGLAND?

-

STEPHEN MOORE

Position: Hooker Age: 32 Caps: 97 Height: 6ft 1in Weight: 17st 9lb

The Aussie captain is part of a much-improved front row. The scrum has traditionally been a concern for the Wallabies but Moore has been central to its improvement. He was a finalist in the Australian Sports Dad of the Year Awards.

MICHAEL HOOPER

Position: Open-side flanker Age: 23 Caps: 47 Height: 6ft Weight: 15st 4lb

Alongside David Pocock, Hooper could strike fear into the English back row, securing as many turnovers as possible. He is a fluent runner with ball in hand. Hooper enjoys the beach and rides his skateboard.

WILL SKELTON

Position: Second row Age: 23 Caps: 14 Height: 6ft 8in Weight: 22st 1lb

If Skelton gets the nod, the turf could shudder. He is enormous and very physical. Skelton is not much of a line-out threat because he is too heavy to lift — but be ready for some monstrous hits. Skelton is a converted Christian who prays before each match. He wears size 19 shoes.

WILL GENIA

Position: Scrum-half Age: 27 Caps: 61 Height: 5ft 9in Weight: 13st 5lb

Genia is a livewire No 9. He is a threat due to his elusiveness and pace. He was ‘embarrassed’ to be selected over in-form Nic White and was almost pranked into giving his credit card details when George Gregan rang up pretending to be his bank before declaring he’d made the squad.

MATT GITEAU

Position: Fly-half or centre Age: 32 Caps: 97 Height: 5ft 10in Weight: 13st 5lb

Giteau has breathed new life into the midfield after a four-year absence. He has been a key cog in the Toulon side and became close friends with Jonny Wilkinson. Giteau came off the bench as a young prodigy in the 2003 World Cup final and is back after Australia relaxed rules on allowing foreignbased players to play.

ISRAEL FOLAU

Position: Full back or Wing Age: 26 Caps: 34 Height: 6ft 4in Weight: 16st 3lb

Israel Folau (below) has started each one of his 34 caps. He is an incredible athlete, one of the best under the high ball, strong, quick and huge. Folau came to union having played both Aussie rules and rugby league. He is a proud Tongan and wears a gold tooth given to him by his aunt which she melted down from a ring.
