‘Too much skin!’ Online attacks on Ramsay over his girls’ dresses
MANY fathers may be driven to despair by the daring outfits their teenage daughters want to wear.
But Gordon Ramsay, it seems, isn’t one of them.
The celebrity chef attracted criticism for allowing his daughters to dress in revealing outfits after posting a picture online of them at a birthday meal at one of his London restaurants.
The 49- year- old’s followers were quick to suggest the outfits may not be ‘age appropriate’. One said: ‘Wow. My parents would never have allowed me to dress like that at 16. Way too much skin showing!’
The picture showed 14-yearold Matilda, wearing a blackand-white crop top with match-
‘Keep their innocence’
ing short skirt and Holly, 16, in a short sparkly dress, while 17year- old Megan wore a black mini skirt.
They posed with Holly’s twin Jack in the picture, which received 60,000 likes across Facebook and Instagram, and was accompanied by the caption: ‘Very cool 16th birthday party @heddonstkitchen last night congratulations Jack & Holly #prouddad.’
However, almost immediately he started receiving criticism for allowing his daughters to dress in risque outfits, with one calling for him to keep their ‘innocence a little longer’. And a Facebook comment with 500 likes said: ‘ Those are some short skirts.’
However, others jumped to his defence.
One posted: ‘ Beautiful kids. I’m sorry you have to deal with people commenting about how you should control your daughters dressing and apparently their friends now too.
‘Stupid you can’t even show a picture of your children without getting criticised.’
Ramsay, who is reportedly worth more than £100million, is married to fellow cook Tana.
He took the pictures at his Heddon Street Kitchen restaurant, after a celebration for Jack and Holly. A representative for Ramsay declined to comment yesterday.
