Science evangelist Dara O Briain was showing off the technology of the future in Tomorrow’s Food (BBC1) — a talking frying pan, robot arms that mimicked the movements of chefs and selfsteering supermarket trolleys. What a load of junk . . . ideal for the junk food era, I suppose.
