ADORABLY CHUBBY CHEEKS (FOR NOW)

-

Those pillowy cheeks and squidgy skin around her wrists and ankles are characteristic of six-month-olds, but that baby fat will soon melt away.

Dr Chicot says Charlotte will have doubled her birth weight — she was 8lb 3oz when she was born on May 2 — making her just over a stone, and will now stop growing at such a rapid rate.

‘Cheeks are a normal place for babies to have fat reserves, as are the “bracelets” she has on her wrists and ankles,’ says Dr Chicot.

‘These reserves will be called on as she grows around half-an-inch in length each month.’

she is likely to have started eating solid food and will slowly be weaned off milk. Kate breastfed George and is likely to have done the same with Charlotte, so she will be replacing her daughter’s bottle with pureed, organic baby food.
