Lincolnshire Police are hunting two men who carried out an armed robbery on a newsagent’s in Louth, dressed in panda onesies. In Leicestershire, detectives are seeking a number of people in connection with a street attack in Melton Mowbray. One man suffered an eye injury following an altercation involving a number of people, including a bloke dressed as Rambo, two U.S. SWAT team officers and a character from the Jamaican bobsleigh movie Cool Runnings. Detectives are particularly interested in tracing a woman dressed as a Smurf, who was filmed on CCTV inside the Millennium Fish Bar at approximately 3am. It follows an earlier incident in which a robber dressed as Cruella de Vil, from 101 Dalmatians, held up a betting shop in Stoke-on-Trent. Meanwhile, in Newport, South Wales, a woman was saved from drowning by a group of actors in full pantomime costume. The cast were rehearsing Jack And The Beanstalk when they heard the 72-year-old woman’s cries for help through an open dressing room window. She had fallen into the River Usk and was being washed downstream. They rushed to her aid and were able to bring her ashore using a rope used in the show to tether Daisy the Cow. Oh no they didn’t!
