The moment hardline student threatened free speech lecturer

-

POINTING aggressively, with menace in his eyes, this is one of the Islamist hardliners who disrupted a lecture by a human rights campaigner at a London university.

In a video of Monday’s incident uploaded yesterday, the two men interrupt Maryam Namazie and yell as she tries to speak about ‘free expression in the age of ISIS’.

They were among six members of the college Islamic Society who sat in the front row of the talk at Goldsmiths, playing nosily with their phones and talking. One then stood in front of Miss Namazie shouting.

Chaos ensued as organisers from the Atheist, Secularist and Humanist Society stepped in. She continued but had to shout over the hecklers who were eventually ejected by a security guard. Miss Namazie, 49, a former Muslim who fled Iran, later received an anonymous death threat on Twitter.
