Well, someone still likes him! Girl gets Ed Miliband tattoo on thigh

- By Claire Ellicott

MILLIONS of voters made their feelings about Ed Miliband very clear at last May’s general election.

But, despite his disastrous showing, his popularity has survived among the small band of those calling themselves Milifans.

Eight months on from the poll wipeout, one has shown her devotion by having a tattoo of Mr Miliband’s face inked on her left thigh.

Hannah Stock, 18, said she missed his leadership of the Labour Party so much that she wanted a permanent reminder.

‘He’s so great,’ she said. ‘I met him just before the election and it all started there. He’s such a hero and an inspiration to me. I miss his direction of the Labour Party at the moment so I thought, “Why not?”’

The student, a Labour member for two years, tweeted Mr Miliband about what she had done but the MP has yet to reply.

However, it had an immediate reaction from her mother.

‘She was pacing the house, crying, saying she didn’t know why I’d done this to myself,’ said Hannah, an optometry student at City University London.

The tattoo took roughly 90 minutes and cost £ 260 at Into You in Clerkenwell, central London. It also features the dates of Mr Miliband’s time as leader – 2010 to 2015.

Hannah said the artist Mark Joslin was ‘quite surprised’ at her request on Monday but ‘seemed pleased with his work’.

She added: ‘I’m pretty sure I’ve done the right thing. I like it, it’s cool. I got some odd looks this morning but it does look good so that’s the main thing. I asked the boy that I’m a bit involved with and he said he loved it.’

Last year, Ukip supporter Kerrie Webb had Nigel Farage’s face inked on her arm while student Kierran Horsfield had an image of Jeremy Corbyn tattooed on his back.
