Leftist learning

-

as a 16-year-old studying politics at a-level, i’ve noticed that schools are a hotbed of Left-wing fanaticism. identify yourself as a Conservative in today’s youth academia and you’ll be branded a right-winger, automatically the enemy.

noticeably, most teachers indirectly degrade right- wing students as stupid, ignorant or ‘racist’ (a word which has little meaning, thanks to what some call the ‘regressive Left’).

Discussing the migration crisis recently in my geography class, i highlighted the fact that most of the supposed refugees are young men of working age, not families. i suggested that this made it likely a large percentage of them are economic migrants. our teacher called my comment ‘rubbish’ and we continued to read the Guardian article she had provided on the crisis.

We are continually taught in schools not to be right-wing and not to read right-wing news outlets. anyone who reads the Daily Mail is regarded as a bigot. so, when an important issue such as the EU referendum crops up, if 16-year- olds get the vote, young indoctrinated people will vote largely for what the current education establishment is promoting.

these teachers are entrusted with educating the next generation, not preaching their views. i believe too many 16- years- old are taught to oppose right- wing ideas and to believe that any ideas from the right are intolerant and wrong.
