ALEXA CHUNG is setting a trend for glittery clips, Perspex hair bows and leather Alice bands in a casual, ‘undone’ way. So how can you copy the look?

Kevin Mancuso, global creative director for Nexxus New York Salon Care, says: ‘The new look appears spontaneous, but thanks to an accessory, is chic enough for a smart night out.’ For a simple version of the look, gather your hair into a ponytail. Twist it up, leaving the ends messy.

‘Use an accessory such as a large clip to hold the hair in place,’ says Mancuso. ‘Pull loose tendrils into shape. Flyaway hairs, particularly around the face, are part of the look.’
