I COMPLAINED to my local council about a blocked drain causing flooding. Someone came to inspect the drain then sent this misspelt letter: ‘With regards to our site meeting today. I cleared the floodwater and gully as a goodwill jester today, this was a one off. I explained to the residents that the gully should be maintained on a regular basis.
‘They should organise a residents association to help with the maintenance of the access track behind there properties. Also they would like to repair the track but this could be rather expensive. They would need to install additional drainage and investigate where the existing gully goes too.’
