AFTER picking her up from school, my friend’s granddaughter Carmen (five-and-ahalf) proudly told her nan she had been made an eco warrior.

Duly congratulating her, my friend then asked what would she have to do as a warrior? Taking a stance and turning up the palms of her hands, she replied: ‘I have to worry if any lights are left on and worry if I find the taps dripping.’
