MATCHES ON THE BBC AND ITV: MAKE SURE YOU DON’T MISS THE SIX NATIONS ACTION

-

THE Six Nations is one of the highlights of the sporting calendar but this year’s edition may be the hardest yet to follow. With BBC and ITV sharing TV coverage, the inclusion of new kick-off times, and a Friday night match, it could be chaotic. Here,

Sportsmail clears up the confusion...

WEEKEND ONE

The campaign begins with two matches on BBC One but watch out for the unusual kick-off times. ITV screen the only match on Sunday.

Saturday February 6

FRANCE v ITALY Kick-off: 2.25pm

SCOTLAND v ENGLAND Kick-off: 4.50pm

Sunday February 7

IRELAND v WALES Kick-off: 3pm

WEEKEND TWO

Another BBC double bill on Saturday, again with odd kick-off times. England then play early on Sunday afternoon on ITV.

Saturday February 13

FRANCE v IRELAND Kick-off: 2.25pm

WALES v SCOTLAND Kick-off: 4.50pm

Sunday February 14

ITALY v ENGLAND Kick-off: 2pm

WEEKEND THREE

Spare a thought for French fans travelling to Cardiff for their Friday night match — they have little to no hope of getting home on the same day. ITV then screen two matches on Saturday including England’s first game at Twickenham since losing to Australia at the World Cup.

Friday February 26

WALES v FRANCE Kick-off: 8.05pm

Saturday February 27

ITALY v SCOTLAND Kick-off: 2.25pm ENGLAND v IRELAND Kick-off: 4.50pm

WEEKEND FOUR

Another set of different kick-off times this Saturday but the action is all on ITV before the BBC show Scotland on Sunday.

Saturday March 12

IRELAND v ITALY Kick-off: 1.30pm

ENGLAND v WALES Kick-off: 4pm

Sunday March 13

SCOTLAND v FRANCE Kick-off: 3pm

WEEKEND FIVE

Viewers will have to channel-hop on the final day with the BBC showing two games, including the tournament finale in Paris. But England fans will struggle to get home late on that Saturday night — currently the last Eurostar leaves for London at 8.07pm.

Saturday March 19

WALES v ITALY Kick-off: 2.30pm

IRELAND v SCOTLAND Kick-off: 5pm

FRANCE v ENGLAND Kick-off: 8pm
