SERENA SIX-PACKS A PUNCH!

-

SERENA WILLIAMS is looking ripped at this year’s Australian Open... and the world No 1 has wasted little time in ripping up the record books. The toned defending champion (right), who made her first Grand Slam appearance here in 1998, beat 90th-ranked Hsieh Su-wei 6-1, 6-2 in her record 79th main-draw match in Melbourne. ‘It all started here. This is where I played my first Grand Slam right on this court and I’m still going, it’s such an honour,’ said 34-year-old Williams, a six-time champion who has won 70 matches and lost just nine times at this tournament. ‘I love it every time I come here.’
