EXPERTS CALL THE BIG FIGHT

- By RIATH AL-SAMARRAI

RICKY HATTON Ex two-weight world champion

THIS could easily go to either man but I can see Scott winning by late knockout or points. He has the workrate to win this. He sets such a high tempo and comes in from so many angles that Carl will struggle to set his feet. I can see Carl walking on to a big punch at some point. But like I said, this could go either way.

VERDICT: QUIGG

KELL BROOK World welterweight champion

I WAS saying Frampton all the way but as the fight has got closer I’m really unsure. I don’t think fitness will come into it but I wonder if maybe Frampton will be sharper mentally, maybe able to adapt more as the fight goes on. I can see Frampton winning with a mid-to-late stoppage but it will be a very close fight.

VERDICT: FRAMPTON

GEORGE GROVES World-title contender

I’M GOING with Frampton. He is such a hard hitter for his size and I think he will break Quigg down as the fight goes on. Quigg is a proper fighter but I can see Frampton winning by late stoppage.

VERDICT: FRAMPTON

KEVIN MITCHELL World-title contender

I’M REALLY stuck on this. It’s really tight but I’ve heard Frampton might have had problems with the weight. If that’s true, I’d say Quigg with a late stoppage.

VERDICT: QUIGG

ANTONY FOWLER 2014 Commonwealth Games gold medallist

I KNOW both Quigg and Frampton and I am right on the fence. It is too close to call, a proper 50-50 fight. If I had to say how it will end, I would say Frampton on points or Quigg by stoppage, but I have no idea which way it will go.

VERDICT: TOO CLOSE TO CALL
