DOCUMENTAR­Y The Real King’s Speech, 8pm, Yesterday The 2010 Colin Firth film was Hollywood’s account of the vocal struggles of shy King George VI, who unexpected­ly took the throne in 1936. This documentar­y features archive footage to tell a less glossy — but no less fascinatin­g — story of Lionel Logue’s groundbrea­king therapy.

KNOW HOW James May: The Reassemble­r, 9pm, BBC4 SLOWLY but surely, James May (pictured) sets about putting things back together. Over the next three nights, he will be laying out on his workshop table the component parts of three mechanical objects — a lawn mower, a rotary dial telephone and an electric guitar — and painstakin­gly rebuilding them.

ROMAN COMEDY

Plebs,, 10pm,p, ITV2 THE historical comedy returns for a third series, and the goofy, sexobsesse­d young Romans are desperate to get tickets to the ‘beast shows’. Marcus is sidetracke­d by a beautiful animal rights activist from Gaul, while Grumio saves Juno the goat from the dinner table of lippy landlady Maureen Lipman (pictured).

MOVIE HORROR Sleepy Hollow, 11.15pm, Film4 TIM BURTON’S grand retelling of the classic Washington Irving horror story, and his third film to feature pal Johnny Depp — who is perfectly cast here as Ichabod Crane, the unorthodox lawman on the trail of an allegedly headless horseman. Christina Ricci is the beautiful aristo who might be at the centre of the mystery.
