I will fight Fury within a year, vows Joshua
ANTHONY JOSHUA believes he is a year away at most from a world heavyweight title unification fight with Tyson Fury. Joshua is confident of beating IBF champion Charles Martin at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday to set up a Battle of Britain. He told Sportsweek on BBC Radio 5 Live: ‘As the rounds go by I will break Martin down and be able to knock him out by the seventh. After that Fury is only 10 to 12 months away, providing he handles his duties against (Wladimir) Klitschko.’ Fury has called Joshua a ‘useless boxer who can’t jab, move or even box’ but Joshua said: ‘This is the same guy who was singing my praises when I sparred with him as a complete novice.’
