MILIBAND STEPS UP FEAR FACTOR
DAVID Miliband will caution today that Brexit would be an act of ‘unilateral political disarmament’ for the UK.
The former foreign secretary will argue that a vote to leave would see the UK voluntarily deciding to ‘throw away’ the political power it enjoys as part of the EU.
In a speech for Britain Stronger In Europe, he will say: ‘Rather than limit or diminish us, the EU multiplies British power, British ideas and British values in very direct ways.’
Mr Miliband will also echo the concerns of many Remain supporters who think the In campaign does not look sufficiently pro-British, saying: ‘We must not cede passion or patriotism to the other side.’
