Kicked like a football, victim of garage gang

- Daily Mail Reporter

IN A sickening attack, a gang of thugs kick a man repeatedly in the head as he begs for mercy, leaving him with a fractured skull and eye socket.

The footage, taken by CCTV at a petrol station, shows the man desperately trying to run away from his attackers.

But he stumbles against a car that has just finished filling up before the driver speeds off.

The victim collapses and is kicked and punched repeatedly by two Asian men while he holds his hands up and pleads with them. The 60-second clip, taken at a Gulf petrol station in Birmingham at 4.30am on Saturday, shows the men kicking his head dozens of times like a football.

He slumps unconscious with his head resting at a grotesque angle by the petrol pumps.

A young woman in a dress and high heels comes to his aid, but flees when a hooded yob marches over to the unconscious man and jabs him in the throat.

Another man is then seen rifling through his pockets. The man regains consciousness, but is savagely kicked in the face knocking him out again. The three attackers then casually walk away as the man lies motionless on his back.

Pritesh Pattni, 45, manager of the petrol station in Bristol Road, posted the footage on social media to catch the thugs.

The married father- of-three said: ‘It is the most shocking, savage attack I have ever seen.

‘I was not at the petrol station but my staff said a taxi pulled up with three men inside.

‘They started having words with a group of men and then punches were exchanged. They chased one of the men on to the forecourt and he fell over.

‘He was punched and kicked against the petrol pump. It was sickening the way he was attacked while unconscious.

‘The attackers were Asian and black. I don’t know if it was racially motivated. I have passed the footage to the police. He could have easily been killed.’

Two men, aged 19 and 21, have been arrested on suspicion of assault. Detective Constable Sandra O’Reilly said: ‘CCTV shows the ferocity of the attack.

‘We are yet to trace a further two men who we believe were involved in the attack.

‘We would ask the men in the footage to do the right thing and hand themselves in – it is only a matter of time before we come knocking at your door.’
