BOBBY MOORE (19411993), the Barking-born West ham footballer (right) who led England to victory as captain in the 1966 World Cup final. Oddly, his full name included one of West ham’s greatest rivals — Robert Frederick Chelsea Moore. IDA POLLOCK (1908-2013) — a prolific kent-born romantic novelist who wrote 123 sagas, including 70 for Mills & Boon — had just found an agent for two new books when she died at the age of 105. She was married to hugh Pollock, the ex- husband of children’s author Enid Blyton. JEREMY BEADLE (1948-2008). Before finding fame as the presenter of TV shows such as You’ve Been Framed! and Beadle’s About, he organised the Bickershaw Rock Festival in Wigan in 1972, when the line-up included the Grateful Dead and The kinks.
