SIR Mick Jagger’s son James

has received mixed notices for his performance as sneering punk rock singer Kip Stevens in the Seventies record industry drama Vinyl. The 30-year-old seems confident, however, that he’ll be returning to the role in the programme made by U.S. TV giant HBO. ‘It’s coming back for a second series,’ James tells me. ‘We’re just waiting on the details.’ His confidence is entirely unrelated to the fact that Sir Mick happens to be an executive producer on the show.
