Check the accounts
WE GIVE the EU approx £8 billion net per year and this is paid to an organisation that has not had its accounts signed off by their auditors for at least 18 years. Would the Government deal with a commercial company with this problem, would this be considered to be a safe investment, would it get a good credit rating? Of course not. Imagine the outcry if it was found that a charity could not satisfy its auditors. How do we have any assurance that the EU is any better than Fifa?
Maybe someone, somewhere will have a rational answer but I will not hold my breath.
