LIVERPOOL have held talks to sign Poland midfielder Piotr Zielinski. He has also been watched by Leicester, Napoli, Juventus and Roma. He is on loan at Empoli from Udinese and said: ‘There is a lot of truth in rumours about Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp is interested in me, we had talks.’

BOURNEMOUTH and Crystal Palace watched Horley Town striker Ashley Nadesan at the weekend. The 22-year-old had a trial with Millwall last week and has scored 50 goals this season. Norwich and Brighton have also monitored his progress.

BLACKBURN ROVERS winger Ben Marshall is poised to leave the club in the summer. The 25-year-old, a former Manchester United trainee, has one year left on his contract but Rovers are yet to open talks over a new deal. Manager Paul Lambert rates Marshall highly and is frustrated by the club’s indecision. Championship rivals Brighton and Middlesbrough are keen, as well as Premier League sides.
