It’s gender la-la land!

CHILDREN as young as four are being asked by Brighton and Hove council which gender they identify with. Bonkers or what?

I’m all for gender stereotypes being challenged, and children feeling their sex has nothing to do with what they can achieve in life.

I also support being sensitive and understanding towards individuals with gender dysphoria, where you feel your biological sex doesn’t match your inner reality.

But I’m sorry, this is deranged. The la-la notion has crept in that there is no such thing as gender — that it’s a ‘construct’ we can choose like the colour of our socks.

Every other animal under the sun is either male or female. Are humans the one exception?

Never mind choosing their gender, these children are too young to choose what to have for tea.
