Breakfast boost
MCDONALD’S has taken another step on the road to recovery under British chief executive Steve Easterbrook as sales of all-day breakfasts boosted business.
The US giant said first-quarter sales around the world were up 5.4pc – the third consecutive quarter of growth following the arrival of the fast-food boss from Watford.
In its key UK market, it has had 40 consecutive quarters of sales growth.
McDonald’s has overhauled just under 400 UK restaurants with a further 350 to be transformed by the end of the year.
