Solanke snub for Chelsea

-

CHELSEA fear they will lose highly rated 18-year-old Dominic Solanke, who has one year left on his contract, after reaching an impasse over a new deal. Chelsea have reacted by preparing a move for Fulham’s 19-year-old striker Moussa Dembele, who is also out of contract in June.

ARSENAL manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed Jack Wilshere is closing in on a return but he may not be risked against Sunderland tomorrow. Wilshere has missed the season with a broken leg. ‘If I don’t take him this weekend I will certainly take him to the next one,’ said Wenger.

WEST HAM have agreed the signing of striker Toni Martinez from Valencia for £2.4milion. The 18-year-old will join the Hammers on a three-year deal on July 1 but is already training with his future team-mates.

CRISTIANO RONALDO faces a battle to be fit for the Champions League semi-final first leg at Manchester City on Tuesday because of a thigh muscle injury.

TOTTENHAM could play Champions League home matches at Wembley next season if White Hart Lane is downsized to help build the new stadium.
