There’s a future in making sure someone really cares
PHILIP MARTYN-SMITH and Alistair Trow recently became SureCare franchisees with three West Midlands districts.
Philip, 52, a business development specialist, says: ‘As well as expanding the SureCare service to new areas, we plan to offer a wide range of services including personal care and support, holiday and respite care, Alzheimer’s care, childcare, mobile creche and babysitting services.’
SureCare franchisees can also supply home services including gardening, DIY, decorating and cooking.
Philip adds: ‘ Care is a growing industry, and we want to build a business which provides the support people need to stay in their homes for longer.
‘ We liked SureCare’s stringent care worker recruitment process, and it appealed to us, as it is a family business.’
SureCare managing director Gary Farrer says: ‘ SureCare franchisees can offer a suite of services aimed at all ages, so there are multiple revenue streams available.
‘Philip and Alistair, like all our franchisees, are extremely passionate about providing the best possible care and building a successful, profitable business.’
Gary’s son Josh recently joined the business as franchise recruitment manager and is leading a new recruitment drive for SureCare franchisees. The franchises start at £36,000 , plus working capital.
Jamie Hickson, Cheshire franchisee with Kare Plus, says: ‘ I chose Kare Plus because of its diverse revenue streams.
‘We offer domiciliary care, agency services supplying nurses and support workers to hospitals, residential care homes and other medical settings, and we are launching a supported living service shortly.’
Vikki Donnachie, Kare Plus head of franchise sales, says: ‘ Our franchisees provide agency healthcare staff to hospitals and care homes from day one, then once accredited by the Care Quality Commission they provide domiciliary carers and nurses, and later can offer supported living and live-in care.’
The franchise is £40,000 plus working capital of £35,000.
