OLYMPIC KIT UNVEILED:

AS an Olympic diver, Tom Daley is used to revealing more than most in his general workwear.

But even he must have been a little nervous about the new Team GB kit – which includes trunks so tiny they are barely there.

The 21-year-old braved the skimpy briefs at the uniform’s launch yesterday, posing alongside fellow Olympians including athlete Jessica Ennis-Hill and cyclist Laura Trott.

The Adidas outfits have been created by fashion designer Stella McCartney for this summer’s games in Rio de Janeiro, and are said to mix ‘British tradition with a modern attitude’.

They include everything from Lycra catsuits to tracksuit tops in red, white and blue – and show off a new Olympic coat of arms.

But many fans struggled to divert their atten-

tion from Daley’s scanty attire. One wrote on social media: ‘If Tom Daley sneezes they will have him for indecent exposure,’ while another commented: ‘Daley’s swimming knickers are a bit teeny tiny aren’t they?’

Others joked that he must have forgotten the rest of his kit for the London photoshoot.

Despite the remarks, Daley – who won a bronze medal in the London 2012 Olympics – later showed his support on Twitter, writing: ‘With 100 days to go... the 2016 Team GB kit was launched! @stellamccartney and @adidasuk some amazing stuff!’

The Olympic Games will run from August 5–21, and the Paralympics from September 7–18. Fans are able to buy their own versions of the outfits through the Team GB shop, but swimming trunks like those worn by Daley are not for sale.
