JOHNNY Depp’s estranged wife was last night granted a temporary restraining order requiring that he stay 100 yards away from her after she appeared in court with bruises on her face.

The order will remain in place until a hearing scheduled for next month after Amber Heard, 30, accused the actor of attacking her with an iPhone.

The 52-year- old star was effectively kicked out of his own home after her petition to remain living in their West Hollywood property was also granted.

According to reports in the US, Miss Heard claimed Depp offered her money to stay quiet after allegedly inflicting the bruises on Saturday night in an attack at an apartment in Los Angeles.

Miss Heard, who is bisexual, filed for divorce on Monday after just 15 months of marriage and turned up at court in the city with a number of photos, including one of her bruised face. The hearing was told she was injured by Depp at different times during their relationship.

It is also alleged she even has video of one of the alleged beatings.

Miss Heard rushed into a car after the court hearing, where she was seen sobbing in the back seat.

In the court documents, in what is believed to be a reference to the iPhone incident, Miss Heard alleges Depp ‘suddenly began obsessing’ about something, got mad, grabbed the phone, ‘wound up his arm like a baseball pitcher and threw the cell phone at me, striking my cheek and eye’.

Miss Heard also claims Depp grabbed a magnum-sized bottle of champagne, drank some and then used it to break objects around the house. In a written statement to the court, Miss Heard had said the Pirates Of The Caribbean star was high on drugs and drunk when the incident occurred. She wrote: ‘I live in fear that Johnny will return to (our house) unannounced to terrorise me, physically and emotionally.’

She added that Depp has a ‘history of drug and alcohol abuse,’ and that she was scared of his temper. In her account, she described another alleged incident in April in which the actor skipped her birthday party and showed up later high on drugs and drunk and pushed her to the floor.

Her written statement said: ‘I endured excessive emotional, verbal and physical abuse from Johnny, which has included angry, hostile, humiliating and threatening assault to me whenever I questioned his authority or disagreed with him.

‘Johnny has a long-held and widely acknowledged public and private history of drug and alcohol abuse. He has a short fuse. He is often paranoid and his temper is exceptionally scary for me as it has proven many times to be physically dangerous and/or life threatening to me.’

Heard claimed Depp’s ‘relationship with reality oscillates depend- ing upon his interaction with alcohol and drugs’.

She added: ‘As Johnny’s paranoia, delusions and aggression increased throughout our relationship, so has my awareness of his continued substance abuse. Because of this, I am extremely afraid of Johnny and for my safety. I am petrified he will return at any moment.’

The website TMZ reported that during last weekend’s alleged fight, Miss Heard was on the phone to a friend and that when Depp grabbed it, she screamed to the friend: ‘Call the cops!’

According to the website, Depp left before officers arrived. He was not in court because he is in Portu- gal with his band Hollywood Vampires, but was represented by his lawyer Laura Wasser.

Judges rejected Miss Heard’s request that Depp attend a year of anger management classes and that the protective order be extended to their dogs.

Depp, who has looked increasingly strained in recent months, is facing a court battle with the actress over his £270million fortune. It is understood the couple, who met while co-starring in 2011 film The Rum Diary, did not sign a pre-nuptial agreement. A source claimed they had an ‘extremely bitter’ relationship because of a feud between Depp’s family and his wife. His two teenage children from his 14-year relationship with French singer Vanessa Paradis, two sisters and his mother are reported to have openly hated Miss Heard. Depp was especially close to his mother, who died aged 81 following a long illness just three days before Miss Heard filed for divorce.

Depp’s representative said yesterday: ‘Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.’
