KINNOCK’S SHORT WITH CORBYN
HAVINg warmly endorsed Red ed Miliband’s leadership of the labour Party, lord Kinnock is not so keen on his successor Comedy Corbyn. Asked in Prospect magazine for his assessment, he said: ‘leaders have to be judged on performance and progress. I’m certain he knows that.’
Asked whether progress was being made, Kinnock replied: ‘the facts tend to contradict that, don’t they?’ For once, the welsh windbag was reduced to understatement.
ANOtHeR first for Comrade Corbyn. His bearded features grace the cover of theory & Struggle, the highbrow journal of the Marx Memorial library. He is the first labour leader to be on the cover, and predictably is gazing to the left.
