The EU? Keira swears by it

KEIRA KNIGHTLEY, along with Lily Cole and various other celebrities, is starring in a short pro-EU film entitled Five Seconds (for the time it takes to cross a ballot). ‘It only takes five seconds to practise the perfect awards face,’ says Keira, pouting as though her life depended on it. ‘And it takes five seconds to make an X in the ballot box. Five seconds to stop others f***ing with your future.’ Maybe Keira is worried about the impact Brexit might have on her lucrative Chanel contract; maybe she’s just been famous for so long that she thinks her adoring public will forgive her anything. Either way, swearing and pulling faces: it’s hardly a sophisticated argument.
