GLORIOUS EMERALDS FOR QUEEN IN GREEN
Commissioned by her grandmother, Queen mary, for the delhi durbar celebrations in 1911, the grand Round Cambridge emerald brooch was inherited in 1953.
it has a sister brooch, the scroll Cambridge emerald, and is made from a round emerald surrounded by two rows of diamonds.
mostly worn to daytime engagements, it’s sometimes seen with the emerald pendant detached — but here, paired with a green tam o’shanter at a military parade in 1980, it’s in all its original glory.
