Amy adds 4 passes to her Rio gong
OLYMPIC gymnast Amy Tinkler passed four GCSEs despite only spending five weeks in school in year 11.
The 16-year-old was Team GB’s youngest athlete, juggling studying for her exams with a tough training regime and trials to make it to Rio.
The teenager bagged a bronze medal, after scoring 14.933 with a virtually flawless 90-second floor routine.
Amy, a pupil at Durham High School for Girls, passed GCSEs in English language, English literature, maths and French. She said: ‘I am absolutely over the moon with the four GCSEs results I received today.’
