IF YOU’VE been to a wedding this summer, chances are you’ve seen many a trendy variation on the traditional tiered fruit cake — whether it’s a ‘cheese’ cake, made of stacked wheels of cheddar, brie and Stinking Bishop, or a tower of delicate cupcakes. But the latest trend is a doughnut wall?

The premise is simple: hammer some pegs into a wall or large board, then hang the prettiest iced ring doughnuts you can find on them.

Like a traditional cake, the doughnuts are finished with floral arrangements and kitsch trinkets.
