SECRETS OF AN A-LIST BODY

-

How to get the enviable physiques of the stars. This week: Tess Daly’s waist

TESS DALY’S dedication to exercise extends to cycling in her front room while she watches TV, the 47- year- old Strictly presenter has said. The mother-of-two claims weekly Pilates and yoga also help to keep her waist trim.

WHAT TO TRY: The rotational press with squat. Stand with feet wider than hip-width, holding a pair of dumbbells in front of your body. Push your hips back and lower into a squat, reaching the dumbbells to the floor. Press through your heels to extend the legs as you curl the weights up towards your chest, drawing stomach muscles in. Press the weights overhead as your upper body rotates to the right. Pivot on your left heel and make sure palms are facing inwards with your arms slightly in front of your ears when extended. Return to start position and repeat to the left. That’s one repetition. Repeat 12-15 times.
