PERFECT PASTA

-

Pasta may help you slim, a new study suggests. Here are healthy ways to serve it. this week: Lemony tuna pasta Per serving: calories, 411; sugar, 4g; saturated fat, 1.1g; protein, 26.7g; salt, 0.5g BOIL 320g of fusilli. While it is cooking, heat two tbsp of garlic-flavoured olive oil in a frying pan.

Add 250g of cherry tomatoes (halved), and fry for two to three minutes until soft. Then add two 120g cans of tuna and heat through.

Tip in the drained pasta, the zest and juice of one lemon and four handfuls of baby spinach. Then mix and season with black pepper. Pasta is the ultimate healthy fast food when combined with protein-packed tuna and vegetables. Adding oil helps the body to absorb beta-carotene, an antioxidant in the tomatoes and spinach, which is converted into skin-friendly vitamin A. While the pasta’s shape makes no difference nutritionally, fusilli suits chunky sauces. Choose wholegrain for two and half times more fibre than white pasta.
