Moving Swiftly on... Taylor’s smiling but Tom’s glum
WITH her head held high, new bouncy blonde tresses and a hint of a grin on her perfectly-glossed lips, Taylor Swift looked on top of the world.
Meanwhile, thousands of miles away, Tom Hiddleston seemed as if his world had been shattered.
The stars’ appearances couldn’t have been more different as they braved cameras the day after the reported end of their – rather swift – romance.
Stepping out as an single woman, the singer, 26, appeared happy and carefree as she made her way to the gym in New York yesterday.
But Hiddleston, 35, who has been tipped as a favourite to play James Bond, was spotted with a glum look on his face as he chatted with friends over a cup of coffee during a break in filming for the new Thor film in Australia’s Gold Coast.
Wearing a black Nike sports top and black shorts, the Avengers actor looked distant and deep in thought.
The pair’s relationship, once so intense they were dubbed ‘Hiddleswift’, appeared to have fizzled out as quickly as it began.
During their three months together, the couple were pictured looking madly in love in locations across their world.
But their over-the-top displays of affection prompted critics to question whether it was more PR than passion.
And the romance reportedly became unstuck as the singer was concerned about the level of exposure their private life was receiving in the media.
The final straw is believed to be her decision to refuse to join the 35-year-old at the Emmy awards ceremony later this month, where he has been nominated for his role in BBC drama The Night Manager.
Hiddleston has previously insisted it wasn’t a ‘showmance’, telling the Hollywood Reporter: ‘The truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together and we’re very happy. That’s the truth. It’s not a publicity stunt.’
